Outcomes are specific descriptions of what a student is expected to be able to do or understand at the completion of an activity, resource, or course. Other terms for Outcomes are competencies and goals.
Tab view: Select Outcomes tab.
Drop down menu: Select Outcomes from the menu.
Note: If the Outcomes area does not appear in the gradebook, the site administrator will need to enable it to appear.
Standard Outcomes are located in the right column and can only be added/edited by a site administrator. To use a standard outcome in the course, select the outcomes and then select add to move them to the left column Outcomes used in this course.
Note that once an Outcome has been used in a course it can no longer be edited or deleted.
1. Define the full and short names for the Outcome.
2. If Standard outcome is checked, this Outcome will be available site-wide, for all courses. Note: site administrators are the only role that are able to create Standard outcomes by default.
3. Scale determines the scale associated with the Outcome for measuring the level of achievement.
4. Description of the Outcome, which can only be viewed in editing mode and does not appear anywhere else in the course.
